Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does the information here replace medical treatment?

No. It is not meant to replace medical treatment. It is designed to help a child alleviate fear and anxiety while in a hospital, medical environment or facing illness. In the Be Well Program section, it includes research by medical professionals who have proven that the relaxation and creative imagination exercises can enhance the healing process and is an adjust to medical treatment.

2. Can all children practice these exercises?

Children usually have an active imagination. Any child old enough to imagine can practice these exercises while hospitalized and at home. If a child is too young, the parents can practice them for the child by also imagining the child as already well and easily getting through any medical treatment or tests.

3. What is Hado and what does a child learn from the book?

The word Hado is the Japanese word for the vibrational pattern of energy that we are all made of. The founder, Kathleen, studied with the scientist Dr.Masaru Emoto, whose experiments showed, in physical form, that our thoughts and words can affect our life energy. So often a special needs child feels that they are different from other kids. Hado Bear’s Secret, reminds them that we are all different yet perfect just the way we are, and our positive thoughts, words, beliefs and feelings have the power to change our life energy (hado) and transform life’s challenges into more positive experiences.

4. The Non-Profit Founder, Kathleen Caputo, is a minister. Is this based upon religion?

No. It is based upon scientific research about the power of the subconscious mind and our positive thoughts to help heal the body. It is also based upon our children’s book, Hado Bear’s Secret that give his Wise Words, special videos, and a Baby Hado Bear comfort animal. See the Meet Hado Bear section of the website.

5. How can we support your work?

Please see Support Us where you can donate. Children can receive our book, a Baby Hado Bear comfort animal and a special video. Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated and it helps to put a smile on a child’s face.
